How to reach UZ Gent

Transportation to UZ Gent

Public transport: Public transport is a fast and comfortable alternative to reach the hospital.

by train

Take the train to Gent-Sint-Pieters station. You can consult the train timetable on the NMBS website. From the station you can take the tram 1 or bus   to UZ Gent. It takes about 20 minutes on foot.

 

by tram-bus

tram 1  takes you from  Gent-Sint-Pieters station to the heart of UZ Gent. More info: www.delijn.be/gent.

Buses 5 and 8 run every 15 minutes from the city center (South) and the Heuvelpoort to the edge of the campus, within walking distance of the clinic buildings.

 

by car

UZ Gent is located on the southern edge of the city. You can reach UZ Gent by car:

from the center via the inner ring road and the traffic axes De Pintelaan and Zwijnaardsesteenweg.

via the R4, both from the east and west

via the E40 and E17 motorways. The E40 motorway (Ostend-Brussels) is connected to the E17 (Antwerp-Kortrijk) via the Zwijnaarde interchange. On the E17, take exit no. 9 'Universitair Ziekenhuis' or 'UZG'.
